Chin augmentation
A weak chin has an immense effect on your other facial features.
Your nose looks larger and your lower lip seems droopy. A receding chin also affects your facial expression by conveying a “weak” look. This is sensed rather than seen.
To correct a weak chin, a small incision is made beneath the chin. A synthetic implant, like a sponge, is then introduced inside the chin to enlarge it.
Infection of the implant is possible but uncommon. Some numbness of the lips may be experienced for a few days to a few months after surgery.
Anesthesia without general anesthesia
In general, local anesthesia with sedation is used.
Risks
As in any other surgery, complications are possible but uncommon. They may include infection, bleeding, excessive scarring, muscle weakness, loss of movement, nerve weakness, loss of sensation, skin necrosis, asymmetry, anesthesia reactions, rejection of implants, etc.
Cheeks augmentation
Hollow flat cheeks may be enhanced by fillers injections or fat injections.
