Occasionally, brown spots, pimples, large pores, some acne
activity, some redness or some discoloration may be seen for
the next 2 to 6 months. Persistence of skin discoloration,
redness, large pores, or scars is not common, but possible. No sun exposure is permitted after this procedure for 2
months In the future, to preserve your skin from the
continuing effects of the daily aging process, you may need
a "light" peel every 2 or 3 years, preceded by a mild
preparation program, in order to keep your skin in optimum
condition.
If you have received "Accutane" for acne
treatment in the past, your peel may have to be postponed
for a few months. If you have suffered from previous herpes
infections (cold sores), special medications will be
prescribed for you to prevent its recurrence.

Discover new technology for micro-dermabrasion
You can
now minimize wrinkles, scars, sun damage and significantly
improve the appearance of your skin with no downtime.
With a
series of monthly customized micro-dermabrasion treatments,
you can achieve a more beautiful skin.
The new Megapeel
micro-dermabrasion machine incorporates one of the most
advanced micro-dermabrasion technologies.
What is micro-dermabrasion ?
Micro-dermabrasion is a skin
exfoliation technique. It utilizes crystals to gently sand
the superficial layers of the skin.
Who should consider micro-dermabrasion ?
Micro-dermabrasion is right for all skin types and all
patients interested in minimizing the appearance of wrinkles,
fine lines, scarring, pigmentation problems, uneven skin
tones and sun-damaged skin.
Will I experience any discomfort during the treatment ?
You may feel a very mild scratching sensation as the
crystals make contact with the skin. Mild redness may last
for one hour to one day, depending on the depth of the
program.
"I.P.L"
SKIN REJUVENATION
What is "I.P.L" skin rejuvenation?
With aging and sun exposure, your skin looses its glow
and the regeneration of its cells slows down. Multiple signs
of damage start to appear: dark spots, fine wrinkles, broken
capillaries, dilated pores and cutaneous laxity.
The "I.P.L" (intense pulse light)
rejuvenation is a non-invasive method that allows the
simultaneous treatment of a large variety of problems
related to the face, neck and body (hands and chest), such
as age spots, redness, rosacea, telangiestcasia, acne scars,
dark circles, melasma, unsightly little veins, unwanted hair
and other lesions. As well, this treatment stimulates the
formation of new collagen, therefore improving the texture
and elasticity of the skin.
What is an "I.P.L" treatment like?
The treatment takes place in our clinic under medical
supervision. Sun exposure is avoided for 4 weeks before and
after the treatment. Prior to each session, an anesthetic
cream may be used. The skin area to be treated is then
covered by a cold gel. During the pulsations of light, a
mild burning sensation is experienced, similar to the snap
of a rubber band. The treatment is occasionally followed by
a temporary redness or darkening of the pigmented areas.
Each session takes about 30 minutes. The
complete treatment plan includes 6 sessions, one per month,
followed by a maintenance session every 4 months. These
treatments do not require a recuperation time. Therefore,
you can apply your make-up as soon as the session is
completed. As well, you can return to your work the same day
and resume all your regular activities. There is no downtime.
What are the advantages of the "I.P.L"
skin rejuvenation?
The "I.P.L" treatment improves the appearance of redness,
rosacea, dilated capillary vessels, dark spots and wrinkles.
After a few sessions, the skin will appear smoother, clearer,
more transparent, more glowing, firmer and its color more
homogeneous. This technology tightens the pores, enhances
the skin texture, improves the spots and dark circles,
decreases the redness, and gives the skin an even tone. You
will look younger and more relaxed. The photorejuvenation,
therefore, is beneficial to both the superficial and deep
layers of your skin. The results start to show as early as
the 3rd session.
