"mastopexy"
The drooping breast « Breast ptosis »
Conditions such as pregnancy, breast feeding, major weight
loss or aging may lead to sagging breasts and low nipples.
Breast lift
The breast lift 'Mastopexy' is a surgery in which the breast
is lifted and the nipple is repositioned to a higher position,
while the excess skin is excised.
A mild drooping of the breast 'mild ptosis'
only requires a circular 'peri-areolar' incision around the
perimeter of the nipple 'areola'. However, in the case of a
severe ptosis, two additional incisions are required: a vertical
one below the nipple and a horizontal one in the skin fold under
the breast, both in the shape of an inverted 'T'.

Breast lift and breast augmentation
If the drooping breast is small in size as well, the breast
lift may be accompanied by a breast augmentation. This is done
by inserting a breast implant to give more fullness to the upper
part of the breast.
Risks
As for any surgical intervention, complications are possible
but not common, such as infection, bleeding, excessive scarring,
sensitivity changes, cutaneous necrosis, asymmetry, numbness,
pain, etc.
